Siliguri, 22nd May: In a shocking incident, a youth has been accused of attacking his friend with a blade. The incident took place on Monday in the East Fakdaibari forest area near Siliguri. It is reported that the friends engaged in a heated argument while under the influence of intoxication, which escalated into a violent altercation.
According to sources, Biswajit Barman (16) was conversing with his friends in a neighbourhood corner when a dispute erupted between him and his friend Prabhat. Allegedly, Prabhat stabbed Biswajit in the neck with a sharp blade, causing him to collapse to the ground.
Promptly responding to the situation, local residents rushed to assist Biswajit and immediately transported him to Siliguri District Hospital for medical treatment. Upon being informed of the incident, the police from the Asighar Out Post swiftly arrived at the scene and have launched an investigation into the matter.
