Phansidewa, 28th March: Sensation prevailed after a younger brother fatally attacked his elder brother with a knife in his stomach. The case surfaced from Pati Mohan Jote Gaon of Ghoshpukur under the Phansidewa block. The injured has been identified as Amulya Singh.
Reportedly, a dispute had been going on between the two brothers regarding the ancestral property for a long time. When a similar quarrel broke out between the two today, the younger brother, Nirmal Singh, stabbed his elder brother in the stomach with a sharp weapon. Amulya was rushed to Phansidewa Rural Hospital in critical condition, where after first aid he was referred to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
On the other hand, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police of Phansidewa Ghoshpukur Out Post reached the spot and started investigating the entire incident. Meanwhile, Nirmal Singh has been absconding ever since the incident.
