Siliguri, 04th July: Few miscreants on Friday night attempted to loot an ATM of a nationalised bank at Siliguri Nabagram area under NJP police station.
After the matter came to light on Saturday afternoon, locals reported the incident to the police. The police officials and the bank employees reached the spot shortly after and launched an investigation. The incident has caused a stir in the entire city.
Incidentally, a similar incident occurred in the Siliguri Shaktigarh area on June 22. A fingerprint expert team from Kolkata has already taken stock of the incident and have started investigations.
Considering an increase in robbery and such attempts in the past couple of weeks, people are raising questions on the role of the police administration.
