Wooden bridge over Dolang River damaged after heavy rains lash Alipurduar

Alipurduar, 29th June: Water level of Dolang River has crossed the danger mark and the wooden bridge has been damaged after heavy rainfall lashed the area since yesterday.
With the absence of a bridge, commuters are facing inconvenience. Furthermore, diversion constructed near the bridge is also gradually drowning due to which traffic between Falakata and Alipurduar has come to a standstill. 
Locals alleged that the same problem arises each year repeatedly during the rainy season and accused the administration of ignoring the issue of the general public.
