Kharibari, 05th August: Sensation prevailed after the body of a woman was found hanging from a noose in the Kholtabazar area under Kharibari police station. The deceased has been identified as Savitri Debnath.
As per the report, the deceased’s family members sighted Savitri’s body hanging from a noose in their house. Following this, the police were immediately informed regarding the incident. Upon arrival, the police recovered the body and sent it for an autopsy.
According to local sources, the woman was battling with cancer and had travelled to Mumbai for treatment several months ago. After returning home, she tested positive for coronavirus. However, she later recovered from the infection.
Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
