Jalpaiguri, 23rd July: A woman regained her hearing after nearly 10 years following successful treatment and surgery at Jalpaiguri Medical College and Hospital.
The woman, identified as Bandana Biswas, is a resident of Berubari village under Jalpaiguri Sadar block. According to reports, her hearing gradually deteriorated after a paddy ear entered her ear around 10 years ago, eventually leading to severe hearing loss.
The condition significantly affected her daily life and communication with her family over the years.
Following successful treatment and surgery by the ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Department of Jalpaiguri Medical College and Hospital, Bandana regained her hearing.
After hearing the voices of her loved ones and the sounds around her again after a decade, she became emotional.
Her family expressed happiness over her recovery, while Bandana thanked the doctors and the entire medical team for helping restore her hearing.
