Kalchini, 12th March: Sensation prevailed after a woman’s life was claimed in a fatal bison attack while on her morning walk. The incident surfaced from the Uttar Mendabari area under Kalchini in the morning hours of Sunday.
Reportedly, 55-year-old Rimila Hazari, a resident of the Uttar Mendabari area under Kalchini block, had gone out for a morning walk on Sunday morning when a bison came out of the forest of Jaldapara National Park and entered the area and attacked Rimila and injured her seriously. After this, the family members and forest workers rescued the woman and took her to Latabari hospital, where the doctors declared her brought dead.
