West Bengal elections 2021: Kailash Vijayvargiya clears the air on Mithun Chakraborty’s candidature

Siliguri, 12th March: In a recent event, Bengali superstar Mithun Chakraborty joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the Brigade ground rally at Kolkata in the presence of PM Narendra Modi. Ever since his entry into the party, speculations are being raised about him contesting as BJP’s candidate for the upcoming West Bengal assembly elections.


In response to this, the National General Secretary of BJP Kailash Vijayvargiya, while addressing a press conference in Siliguri today clarified that, as of now, Chakraborty does not wish to stand as a candidate. However, he is willing to welcome the decision of the party on this affair.

The Bengali actor will reportedly campaign for BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari in Nandigram.
