We want the development of hills and not a separate state: Binay Tamang

Siliguri, 26th December: After reaching Siliguri on Sunday, Hill leader Binay Tamang said that their main goal is not having a separate state, but the development of the hills. He accused BJP of deceiving the people of the hills only for getting more votes.

On his arrival at the NJP station, he was greeted by TMC activists. He then headed straight to the NJP INTTUC office.

Addressing the media, he said that their main goal is the development of the hills and hence wants to work jointly with Bimal Gurung. People have understood that BJP has deceived them. So, they do not want a separate state anymore but demand the overall development of the hills which can be done only with the cooperation of the state government.
