WB government impose partial lockdown in the state from January 03

Amid rising cases of Omicron and coronavirus in the state, the West Bengal government on Sunday announced to impose partial lockdown in the state from January 03 in an effort to control the new variant.


The restrictions are as follows:

All schools, colleges, and universities to remain closed tomorrow onwards.


All govt and private offices will operate with 50% attendance.

Swimming pools, spa, beauty parlours, and gyms to remain closed.

Parks, zoos, tourists places to remain closed.

50 people can participate in rallies and wedding events.

Restaurants and bars will operate with 50% capacity and must close by 10 pm.

Cinema halls will also operate with 50% capacity.

Shopping malls to remain open from 10 am -5 pm with 50% capacity.

Local trains with 50% capacity will operate.

Local trains will not operate after 7 pm.
