Siliguri, 15th July: Preparations are underway at the Siliguri ISKCON Temple for the upcoming Rath Yatra, with the temple premises decorated for the religious festival. The temple has already witnessed a festive atmosphere with the arrival of devotees and visitors.
According to temple authorities, a beautifully decorated chariot will be taken out from the ISKCON Temple on Thursday following religious rituals. The Rath Yatra is scheduled to begin at around 2 PM and will pass through ISKCON More, Panitanki More, Sevoke More, Venus More, Hospital More, and Swamiji More before returning to the temple.
West Bengal Legislative Assembly Speaker Rathindra Bose, Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh, Dabgram-Fulbari MLA Sikha Chatterjee, and other prominent personalities are expected to attend the event.
The temple premises are being decorated ahead of the celebration. Thousands of devotees are expected to visit the temple on Thursday, and police deployment will be arranged in the temple area from the morning.
