Siliguri, 12th February: Chaos broke out at Jagadish Chandra Vidyapeeth polling station in Ward No. 24 over the casting of votes a few hours after the poll began.
Trinamool Congress accused BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh and independent candidate Bikash Sarkar of entering the polling booths and influencing the voters.
Meanwhile, BJP, Independent candidate Bikash Sarkar and Left candidate Indrajit Chanda counter alleged that Trinamool activists were influencing the voters. They raised questions regarding how the party workers and activists were allowed to enter inside. Meanwhile, Siliguri police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
