Siliguri, 07th February: A vehicle stolen from Siliguri has been recovered from Bihar. The driver of the vehicle, involved in the incident, has been taken into custody.
It was reported that Debashish Basak, a resident of Kolkata, arrived at Hakimpara in Siliguri in a vehicle, on January 11. This is when the vehicle’s driver Kumod Paswan (31) fled away with the car. Later, Paswan demanded an amount of 2 lakh rupees from Debashish Basak as a ransom for returning the vehicle. In this context, Basak lodged a written complaint at the Panitanki Town Outpost.
Based on the complaint, the Police, involved in the investigation, seized the vehicle from Bihar and also detained the driver, on Thursday night.
