Siliguri, 01st April: The G20 conference is starting in Siliguri from today. BJP MLAs from Siliguri and Naxalbari gave a grand welcome to Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy who arrived at Bagdogra airport to attend the said conference.
While addressing the media, Minister G. Kishan Reddy said that this is the second meeting of the G20 conference in Siliguri where representatives from 30 countries will participate. Following this, a meeting will be held in Srinagar and then in Goa.
Speaking on the recent Howrah incident where there were clashes between two groups during a Ram Navami procession, he said that it was very unfortunate. “Law and order are in the hands of the state. I would request the state government to contain such incidents from happening,” he further added.
