Two smugglers arrested with six deer antlers in Siliguri

Ambari, 28th November: In another significant breakthrough, the forest personnel of Ambari range arrested two individuals with 6 deer antlers.


According to reports, on Monday night, acting on a tip off, the forest personnel of Ambari Range under the leadership of Ranger Alamgir Haque launched an operation in the Farabari Nepali Basti area adjacent to Siliguri. During the operation, 6 deer antlers were recovered, including one two to two and a half feet long antler. Subsequently, the smugglers were arrested and a two-wheeler was seized.

In this regard, Ranger Alamgir Haque stated the operation was successfully conducted by posing as customers after receiving inputs about the smuggling. On Tuesday, the arrested accused have been produced before the Jalpaiguri district court.
