Malda, 05th September: English Bazar Police arrested two youths with firearms. The arrested have been identified as Anwar Sheikh (22) and Wasim Akram (18).
According to the information, the police arrested two miscreants with firearms while carrying out an operation in the Shaukat More area of Shobhangad Gram Panchayat on Friday night. Two pipe guns have also been recovered from the miscreants.
As per police sources, the crooks had gathered at Shaukat More to sell firearms. But the police successfully nabbed them.
The accused were produced in the Malda district court, on Saturday. Further investigation has been launched into the matter.
