Kharibari, 25th September: Kharibari police, acting on a tip-off, arrested two people with a country-made pistol and live cartridges in Chakkarmari. The arrested have been identified as Mohammad Sultan and Mohammad Sarfaraz.
In this context, Rural DSP Achintya Gupta said that a vehicle was stopped and searched in Chakkarmari. During the search, one country-made pistol and four live cartridges were recovered from the said vehicle. Furthermore, two people were arrested in connection to the case. After registering a case in Kharibari police station, both the arrested persons were presented in the Siliguri court today.
