Two arrested in two separate burglary cases in Siliguri

Siliguri, 13th March: The police of Bhakti Nagar police station have achieved success in solving two separate theft cases. Police recovered the stolen goods while investigating two cases of theft and arrested two people. The accused have been identified as Prakash Barman and Shambhu Saha. 


Reportedly, in March a house was burgled in the Bhanu Nagar area after which the miscreants made away with gold jewellery from the house. After this, a written complaint was lodged at the police station. Based on the complaint, the police involved in the investigation first arrested three thieves. After interrogating the said burglars, the police acquired information about the dealers who bought the stolen gold. Later, on Sunday, the police arrested the owner of the gold shop, Prakash Barman, who bought the stolen goods and also recovered 93 grams of stolen gold from him. 

On the other hand, in January, a house located on Pranami Mandir Road fell prey to the ill motives of miscreants who robbed them of gold ornaments in the name of gold cleaning. While investigating the matter, the police of Bhakti Nagar police station arrested a person named Shambhu Saha. Police also recovered 22 grams of gold from him. Both the accused have been produced in the Jalpaiguri court today. The police are probing the entire matter.
