Two arrested in burglary case of Baba Lokenath Temple in Siliguri

Siliguri, 28th March: Two miscreants have been arrested in connection with the robbery in Baba Lokenath temple located in the area under Bhakti Nagar police station. The arrested accused have been identified as Bappi Mahato and Rajesh Roy, residents of Kholachand Fafri and Ektiasal respectively. 


It is to be noted that the burglary took place in the temple on Sunday. The miscreants had cleverly cut the wire of the CCTV camera and ran away with the donation box of the temple and the money kept in it. As soon as the burglary incident came to light on Monday, a written complaint was lodged on behalf of the temple management at Bhakti Nagar police station. After the complaint was registered, the police started an investigation. 

During this, two miscreants were arrested on theft charges in the temple last night. After interrogation, the donation box and money stolen from the temple were also recovered from them. Both were presented in the Jalpaiguri court today after registering a case on theft charges.
