Malda, 26th July: Based on a tip-off, the Malda Mothabari police, on Saturday night, launched operations at the Ramnathpur area and arrested two men along with brown sugar. The arrested accused have been identified as Wasim Sheikh (33) and Sahabul Sheikh (20).
Reportedly, 300 grams of brown sugar were recovered from their possession. The value of the recovered brown sugar has been estimated to be around 1 lakh rupees.
Both the arrested were produced before the Malda District Court on Sunday. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
