Chopra, 19th February: One person lost his life and another has been injured in a truck-pickup van collision at NH 31 in Chopra’s Tut Bagan area under Uttar Dinajpur district, on Friday morning.
Reportedly, the pickup van lost control and smashed into the truck from behind. While Abhay Das, the conductor of the pickup van, died on the spot, driver Karthik Debnath was severely injured.
Chopra police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident. The injured driver was rescued and rushed to North Bengal Medical College-Hospital.
