Siliguri, 10th January: Sensation ensued after a truck hit the Thakurnagar railway gate adjacent to the Eastern Bypass of Siliguri.
Reportedly around 8 am today, a truck collided with the railway gate and the electric wires broke after which the power service stopped. Railway service as well as traffic came to a standstill. Later, with the efforts of the railway department, rail and road services normalized after about 4 hours.
