Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee addresses public meeting in Cooch Behar

Cooch Behar, 07th April: Ahead of the polls in Cooch Behar on April 10, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a public meeting in Cooch Behar North and Sitalkuchi.

The CM highlighted all the development works carried out in Cooch Behar. She also did not miss the chance to take a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the meeting.

She claimed to have no confidence in the central forces and levelled various allegations against the BJP. She alleged that the central forces are trying to prevent women from casting their votes by presenting several reasons such as the non-functioning of EVM machines. She also accused the party of harassing TMC candidates.

She scoffed at BJP and stated that the central government is selling everything. “If Narendra Modi stays in power for a long time, he will sell the country as well. I will not allow NPR, NRC in Bengal. All the people of Bengal are citizens of India,” she stated.
