Trial run of ‘Vande Bharat Express’ completed, West Bengal all set to welcome the train

Siliguri, 26th December: The state of West Bengal is all set to welcome the Vande Bharat Express which will run from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri. Meanwhile, the trial run of Vande Bharat Express was completed on Monday. 


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off West Bengal’s first Vande Bharat Express train on the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri route on December 30. Vande Bharat left Howrah at 5.55 am and reached NJP at 1.25 pm. At present, the said modern train with 16 rooms will run at a speed of 110 kmph. 

SK Chowdhary, DRM, Katihar Division of Railways said that it will run at a speed of 130 km per hour later. He further said that no decision has been taken yet regarding the stop.
