Bagdogra, 17th July: Van Mahotsav is being celebrated throughout the state. On the occasion, a tree plantation drive was organized today by a private school located in Bengdubi, Bagdogra.
Under the program, saplings were planted by Samiran Raj, Ranger of Bagdogra Forest Department, Rana Dey, President of the Terai Branch of Indian Tea Association (ITA), and social worker Amitabh Sarkar, along with the teachers and students of the school. During this, Ranger Samiran Raj emphasized the importance of planting saplings towards achieving a clean and green environment. He added that saplings were planted in different locations.
