Rajganj, 13th March: Sensation prevailed in the area after a tragic road accident claimed the life of a youth at Rajganj’s Bandhunagar on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway.
The deceased has been identified as Prasenjit Barman (28), a resident of Mathabhanga area. Reportedly, on Monday morning the youth was on his way from Mathabhanga to work in Siliguri on his bike when he was hit by a dumper from behind. Due to this, he died on the spot. Meanwhile, the dumper driver fled from the spot after the incident.
On the other hand, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police of Ambari Out Post reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. The police have started investigating the entire matter.
