Traders of Deshbandhu Para and police help COVID positive youth reach hospital

Siliguri, 08th May: A COVID positive youth from the Deshbandhu Para area of ​​Siliguri was rushed to the hospital by the initiative of the traders and police.


As per the report, the said youth’s mother had died recently, due to COVID-19. Following which he also contracted the virus and fell ill. The locals suggested the youth seek help from the doctor, however, he did not look out for medical help and his physical condition began to deteriorate. In regard to this, traders informed the police and the municipal corporation about the situation today and rushed him to the hospital.

According to the information received, the youth has a shop in Deshbandhu Para which has been closed since his mother died. The locals discovered that the said youth was having difficulty breathing in addition to other problems. Despite this, he refused to undergo a corona test. However, an ambulance came from the municipal corporation to take the youth to the hospital, on Saturday afternoon.
