TMC’s protest against petroleum price hike continues in Siliguri

Siliguri, 08th July: Trinamool Congress’ protest against petroleum price hike and privatization of railways continued in various wards of Siliguri on Wednesday.


Former Councillor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Ward No. 18 and convenor Nikhil Sahni also joined the protest alongside his family. Apart from this, protests were also organized by the party in other places of the ward.

On the other hand, Siliguri No. 2 Town Trinamool Congress President Vedabrata Dutt also staged a sit-in protest outside his house.


Trinamool activists also demonstrated against the central government in other wards of the SMC, including Ward No. 46, Samar Nagar.

According to the information, the TMC has called for a statewide protest against the skyrocketing price of petroleum products including privatization of railways. The party commenced their protest against the policies of the central government from July 6 and will continue till July 13.
