TMC supporters and workers journey to Kolkata for July 21 event

Siliguri, 19th July: Martyrs’ Day program of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is scheduled to be held on the 21st of July at Dharmatala in Kolkata. In this regard, thousands of workers and supporters of the party from Siliguri and adjoining areas left for Kolkata to participate in the program.


On Wednesday, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress President Papiya Ghosh, women and youth workers and supporters, and party leaders left for Kolkata by Haldibari Superfast Express from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP).


Reportedly, the Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress (INTTUC) NJP branch of Siliguri Town Block-III, arranged a help center and tiffins for the party workers and supporters leaving for Kolkata to attend the July 21 programme. This facility was inaugurated by party leader Papiya Ghosh. After the inauguration, several workers and supporters stood in a queue, received their tiffins, and left for Dharmatala in Kolkata. Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb also arrived at the NJP Railway Station to take stock of the process.
