TMC organized a protest march in Cooch Behar against the demand of making North Bengal a separate state 

Coochbehar, 20th November: The political atmosphere in North Bengal is getting intensified with the demand of making North Bengal a separate state. Protesting against such demand Cooch Behar District Trinamool Congress has taken out a protest march from Chakchaka Harimandir with the slogan “Bangbhang Chai Na” today ahead of the Panchayat elections. The said rally will circumambulate 128 Gram Panchayats of Cooch Behar district covering a 1000 km distance. 
The march rally witnessed the presence of Cooch Behar District Trinamool Congress President Abhijeet Dey Bhowmick, District Trinamool Congress Cherayman Girindranath Barman, former minister Vinay Krishna Barman and other Trinamool leaders were present. 
In this regard, Coochbehar District Trinamool Congress President Abhijit Dey Bhowmik said that the rally was taken out against the demand of a separate state of North Bengal and to demand the resignation of MP Nisith Pramanik. 
However, on the other hand, BJP MLA Cooch Behar Nikhil Ranjan Dey took a jibe against the TMC and alleged that organizing such rallies ahead of elections is a political gimmick as people are aware of their corrupt intentions. Many leaders from TMC are being arrested and many more will go to jail making the common mass aware of their wrongdoings.
