TMC leaders, activists return occupied shop and land to rightful owners in Fulbari

Rajganj, 12th May: After the election results were announced, several Trinamool activists were accused of closing a tea shop belonging to a BJP worker in the Purba Dhantala area of Fulbari. Also, another BJP worker alleged that his land was occupied by the TMC workers.

Trinamool block president Debashish Pramanik, Fulbari-2 Anchal President Rabiul Karim, Gram Panchayat Pradhan Dilip Roy, and local Trinamool leaders, on Wednesday, launched an operation and returned the tea shop and the land to its rightful owners.

Trinamool Block president Debashish Pramanik said that after the counting of votes, some party workers mistakenly occupied the shop of one BJP worker and the land of another. Today, they were given back the owners.

“CM Mamata Banerjee has given instructions to refrain from such activities and asked the workers to maintain peace. Hence, this initiative was taken. I firmly believe that people will vote for the Trinamool Congress in the 2023 Panchayat elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections,” he added.

On the other hand, Haradhan Sarkar, the owner of the tea shop, said that his shop was closed and a TMC flag was hoisted. Today the Trinamool Block President came and opened the shop.

Besides, landowner Mahadev Kumar Roy said, “About four kathas of my land was occupied by TMC workers. Today they returned my land.”
