Siliguri, 31st October: TMC chairman of Ward No. 23 Bishnupada Saha passed away while undergoing treatment at a nursing home in Siliguri today. It is being told that he was infected with dengue and was also suffering from many other health ailments. A few days back Saha was suffering from a fever but he did not tell anything about this to anyone. Shortly after his physical condition deteriorated, he was admitted to a nursing home located in Collegepara.
On Saturday night, he was shifted to another nursing home located on Hillcart Road for better treatment where he was undergoing treatment. However, due to dengue, various problems developed in his body, after which he died on Monday morning.
Bishnupada’s body was taken to his residence from the nursing home. Siliguri Municipal Corporation Mayor Goutam Deb along with many others paid tribute to him. Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh was also present.
