Cooch Behar, 13th March: Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate from Cooch Behar Lok Sabha constituency Jagdish Chandra Barma Basunia has started his election campaign after offering prayers at Madan Mohan temple in Cooch Behar.
Reportedly, on Wednesday, Jagdish Chandra Barma Basunia reached Cooch Behar after the announcement. Subsequently, he offered prayers at the Madan Mohan temple. The candidate was accompanied by Cooch Behar District TMC President Abhijit Dey Bhowmik, TMC State Vice President Rabindranath Ghosh, and other leaders of the district.
Speaking to the media, Jagdish Chandra Barma Basunia stated that the citizens of Cooch Behar who voted the BJP have only made false promises in the past five years. He added the people of Cooch Behar and West Bengal in general have understood and would answer accordingly in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
