Three tuskers killed after being hit by a train in the Rajabhatkhawa forest of Dooars

Alipurduar, 27th November: Three wild elephants were killed after being hit by a train in the Rajabhatkhawa forest of Dooars.


According to reports, on Monday morning, a herd of elephants suddenly appeared in front of a goods train heading towards Siliguri from Alipurduar. During this, three elephants including an adult, a middle-aged and a calf perished after being hit by the train.

Upon receiving the news, the officials of the Forest Department and Railways arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation. Currently, the forest department personnel are engaged in further investigation of the entire matter.
