Islampur, 29th April: Clashes broke out between two TMC groups over possession of a tea garden land. Three people were gun shot in the incident. The injured have been admitted to Islampur Sub-Divisional Hospital.
According to sources, a dispute broke out between the two groups over the occupation of a tea garden land on Thursday morning. A large police force of the Islampur police station reached the spot after receiving the news of the incident.
However, Islampur block Trinamool Congress president Zakir Hossain said that the incident was not due to group fights. An investigation has been launched to find the actual cause.
