Kalchini, 13th December: A wild elephant wreaked havoc in the Atiyabari Tea Estate of Kalchini block leaving three houses completely damaged on Tuesday night.
As per reports, the elephant entered the No. 12 line labour locality of the said tea garden from the forest of the Buxa Tiger Project and damaged three establishments. The incident resulted in a situation of panic in the area.
In this regard, the victims stated that wild animals often came out of the forest and invaded the residential area. Consequently, the residents lived in a state of terror.
