Rajganj, 19th February: In a significant breakthrough, the Special Task Force (STF) arrested three individuals with crude black heroin. The arrested accused have been identified as Liton Pal (34), a resident of Chunchura of Hooghly district, Nooruddin Dafadar (31), and Debasish Das (35), of Ranaghat in Nadia district.
As per reports, on Sunday evening, the STF of West Bengal police launched a tip-off operation on the National Highway (NH) in the Bandhu Nagar area of Rajganj and apprehended a car. During the subsequent search, 2.316 kg of crude heroin was recovered from the vehicle. Upon interrogating the accused, it was revealed that the crude drugs were being transported from Alipurduar to Chinsura.
Later, the accused were handed over to Ambari-Falakata Outpost police. On Monday, all three accused were produced before the Jalpaiguri Court.
