Theft reported at vacant house in Changrabandha village of Fulbari; police launch investigation

Fulbari, 22nd June: A theft was reported at a house in Changrabandha village under Fulbari-II Gram Panchayat after miscreants allegedly took advantage of the house being left vacant.

According to reports, Kiranbala Roy, a resident of Changrabandha village, had gone to visit her ailing father around one-and-a-half months ago. Her husband also left for his father-in-law’s house on Saturday to see him.

When the family returned home on Sunday evening, they found household belongings scattered inside the house. It was then that they discovered the theft.

Kiranbala Roy alleged that miscreants entered the house by cutting through the tin sheet at the rear side of the structure and breaking the door lock. They allegedly stole cash and brass utensils that had been received during her marriage.

Upon receiving information, police from NJP Police Station reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
