Ten pilgrims injured in a road accident while on their way to Jalpesh Temple

Cooch Behar, 08th August: Around 10 pilgrims were injured in a road accident en route to Jalpesh Temple. The incident took place in Jamaldah on the Mathabhanga-Chagrabandha state road around 2 am last Sunday.


According to police sources, 35 people were going to Jalpesh temple in a vehicle. As they were playing loud music in the sound system, the police of Jamaldah outpost confiscated the sound system. However, later the sound system was given to them after convincing the police.

Shortly after this, their vehicle was hit by a truck injuring the pilgrims. The driver along with the truck was taken into custody. The said injured were rescued and taken to the Jamaldah hospital.
