Siliguri, 21st March: In support of several demands including cancellation of tender and payment of arrears, the temporary employees of BSNL today gheraoed the Central Labor Department in protest. Carrying the banner of Trinamool Karmachari Sangathan inside the office, the temporary employees of BSNL raised slogans regarding various demands and grievances.
The workers alleged that the two tenders which have been passed will harm the interests of the workers and lay off many workers. Citing this, they demanded to cancel the tender immediately in the interest of the workers. They further warned to launch a massive movement in the coming days if all their demands are not accepted at the earliest.
