Kharibari, 16th August: The statue of the Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore’s was completely damaged after a truck collided into it. The incident took place near Kadamtala More under Kharibari police station.
According to sources, a truck collided with the statue near Kadamtala More, last night. Tagore’s figurine was completely damaged in the collision.
On the other hand, police officers including OC Pasang Rinzing Sherpa of Kharibari police station arrived on the spot as soon as the news was received. While the truck has been seized, an investigation has been launched into the matter.
