Rajganj, 09th December: Residents of Ambari’d Mahamaya Colony are facing an acute water crisis after a solar-powered drinking water tank suddenly stopped functioning. The tank had been installed a few months ago under the initiative of the Binnaguri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj to address the village’s long-standing water problems.
According to the residents, the solar-powered purified drinking water tank initially supplied clean and regular water, benefiting many households and easing daily water-related hardships. However, for the past few days, the tank has remained non-functional without any prior notice, pushing the area back into severe water scarcity.
Local residents alleged that the sudden shutdown has created serious difficulties, especially for daily drinking and household needs. They said the tank had earlier solved much of the village’s water problem and had become a major support for the community.
Expressing their concern, locals stated that while the gram panchayat’s initiative had brought great relief, the abrupt closure of the facility has once again forced them to struggle for drinking water.
The residents have demanded that the solar-powered drinking water tank be repaired and made operational at the earliest so that the colony can be freed from the ongoing water crisis.
