Rajganj, 14th April: Swapna Barman, the Trinamool Congress candidate from the Rajganj Assembly constituency, unveiled her election manifesto ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls, outlining a series of development-oriented promises for the region.

The manifesto was formally released during a press conference at the party office in Belakoba. It highlights key initiatives aimed at ensuring comprehensive development across Rajganj.

Among the major proposals are the construction of a children’s park for recreation, the establishment of a fire station to strengthen emergency services, and the upgradation of health centres at Kalinagar and Malibhita into 10-bed hospitals. A new Suswasthya Kendra has also been proposed at Takimari.

In the education sector, the manifesto promises the establishment of a women’s college in the Binnaguri area. The institution will include Rajbanshi as a compulsory subject and feature the history of Bir Chila Roy and Panchanan Barma in its curriculum.

The manifesto also outlines plans to boost religious tourism by developing a tourism circuit connecting Devi Chaudhurani Temple, Bhramari Devi Temple, and the Teesta Barrage area, with the aim of generating employment opportunities.

To support farmers, a multi-purpose cold storage facility has been proposed near the Belakoba Kisan Mandi. Several other development initiatives have also been included in the manifesto.

Speaking on the occasion, Swapna Barman said, “The overall development of Rajganj is our primary goal. Through the implementation of every promise in this manifesto, we aim to stand by the people.”
