Subhas Chandra Bose’s 125th birth anniversary celebrated in Netaji Museum at Gidda Pahar

Kurseong, 23rd January: The 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose was observed today in Netaji Museum at Giddha Pahar, Kurseong.


Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) Chairman Anit Thapa was the chief guest at the function organized by the 125th Netaji Jayanti Celebration Committee Giddha Pahar Kurseong while other distinguished guests including GTA Advisor Retired Colonel Keshav Rai and GTA Co-Director of Information and Cultural Department Bhupendra Kant Ghising.


The ceremony began after Anit Thapa and other guests garlanded the portrait of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose and paid homage to the freedom fighter.

Dipen Moktan, secretary of the GJM Giddha Pahar branch committee, gave the welcome speech. Following which, three important persons associated with the Netaji Museum were felicitated. Among them were Pramila Lepcha, daughter of late Motimaya Lepcha, museum’s watchman Padam Bahadur Chhetri, and Ganesh Pradhan, the in-charge of the museum.
