Siliguri, 27th July: The Matigara police station accomplished a swift recovery of the stolen truck within a few hours and apprehended a suspect involved in the theft. The arrested individual has been identified as Rajesh Singh (25), from Khaprail in Matigara.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the truck’s driver parked the vehicle near Himul, inadvertently leaving the key inside. Rajesh Singh took advantage of this opportunity and noticed the key in the truck. Seizing the chance, he fled with the truck. On discovering the theft, the driver immediately reported the incident to the Matigara police station.
Upon receiving the report, the undercover police personnel of Matigara police station promptly swung into action and managed to locate the stolen truck parked near Shiv Mandir within a few hours. Rajesh Singh was arrested on charges of stealing the truck. Today, the accused was produced in the Siliguri court.
