Stolen timber worth 10 lakhs recovered in Dhupguri

Dhupguri, 02nd November: Based on a tip-off, the Moraghat range forest workers launched operations at the Kajipara area in Dhupguri block and recovered a large quantity of stolen timber. However, no arrest has been made so far.


According to sources, a large quantity of stolen sal wood and teak wood worth 10 lakh rupees was recovered from two residences. Besides, some furniture was also seized. Meanwhile, the house owners managed to escape.

All the confiscated timber has been taken to the Moraghat Range Office. It has been initially reported that the total amount of timber seized is more than 300 CFT. More such operations will be carried out in the coming days.
