State police file cases against several BJP leaders after Uttarkanya Abhiyan

Siliguri, 09th Siliguri: After unrest broke out following Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Uttarkanya Abhiyan on Monday, the state police filed cases against several BJP leaders. The cases were reported to the state police headquarters in Kolkata on Tuesday.


According to police sources, the cases have been filed based on the incidents in Fulbari Murder More, Noukaghat More and Tinbatti More. Siliguri police filed several non-bailable cases namely attempt to murder, illegal gathering, obstruction of government work, conducting rally with weapons, and destruction of government property.

Police have filed cases against BJP state president Dilip Ghosh, Sayantan Basu, Mihir Goswami, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Tejasvi Surya, Mukul Roy, Soumitra Kha, Jayanta Roy, Nishith Pramanik, and other leaders.
