Naxalbari, 26th June: Jawans of SSB F Company of 8th Battalion, based on a tip-off, launched an operation and arrested two people with a substantial amount of illegal drugs.
According to the information, a Maruti Suzuki (Ritz) car holding number – WB/77/8847 was detained and checked near Panighata More of Bagdogra. During the search, about 860 grams of brown sugar, 1 kg 60 grams of opium and 360 pieces of Yaba tablet were recovered from the said vehicle. After necessary action, both the arrested were handed over to Bagdogra police station along with the recovered drugs and vehicle.
