Siliguri, 28th November: A large quantity of cannabis was recovered by the Special Operations Group (SOG) and Matigara police. Two men identified as Shohar Ali (25) and Mahibool Hussain (35) were arrested in the incident.
It has been learned that the SOG team received a tip-off that a large quantity of cannabis will be smuggled in an Assam registered truck. After that, the SOG team in collaboration with the Matigara police conducted a joint operation in the Paribahan Nagar area last night and detained the truck. After searching, 103 kgs of cannabis were recovered and the said two men were arrested.
They were produced in Siliguri court today.
