Siliguri, 09th February: Ruchira Malakar, daughter of Congress leader Shankar Malakar, is contesting as a Congress candidate from Ward No. 26 for the Siliguri Municipal Corporation polls.
On Wednesday, Ruchira Malakar conducted election campaigning along with her father through a grand procession. The procession was attended by several leaders including former mayor Gangotri Dutta and National Congress secretary BP Singh.
In this regard, Shankar Malakar said that this time CPIM-Congress will come to power jointly and will form a board. He claimed to be optimistic about the victory of Ruchira Malakar from Ward no-26.
